RISK

hi everyone, happy sunday. i hope you find yourself feeling fresh and at peace on our day. throughout this last week, the word RISK has come up a lot lately; the act of doing something with uncertainty and the outcome being potentially negative. some other words that are used in its place are: chance, wish, and prospect.

life is full of them, is times where we desire it, and also when we least expect it. the thing is, is that it is what we makes of those moments risk arises that lifts us higher, or brings us down to learn an extremely valuable lessons so we can fly higher the next opportunity that comes to take risk again.

one day it will all be paid

the debt, the doubt, the shame

ten fold, i would bet it all

to be happy and left alone

with a little more light

doubt will disseminate

fear shall dissipate

to make life a bit more bright

prose’s pond

i cannot see what lies ahead

all i feel is under attack

waiting for the next strike

to survive and fight the good fight

memory lane

with halloween approaching, i remember halloween in different time periods. as a kid, i would always wear the same costume, my affinity for batman was so deep and so real. i loved all the gadgets, tricks and his overall strength (typical for a young boy who watched a vast amount of cartoons). as i got older, i found halloween more ‘cringe’ for a lack of a better word, as my fear of risk and passive judgement of others in my small town overtook my desire to have fun and be myself (or rather temporarily someone else for a night). as i have entered being an adult, i realize now that we all deserve to take creative risk in trying something completely out of the box, festive, and most of all, fun. i do have an exciting costume after not being truly festive for many years, pictures incoming next week <3 (i also love sora so much i will dress as him one day!!!).
