untitled, no. i
hello & a very warm sunday it is indeed on this rather gloomy day in los angeles. how time continues to fly faster than the speed of light. this week, a certain word or phrase was not sticking out to me, but rather just the flow of life was letting itself be known and to trust it fully. i found myself this week more curious than before; mostly in the little moments or notices. the lighting of a restaurant, the beauty of a vocal arrangement, re-discovering a pictures form ten years ago. life is just so fleeting, and i found myself appreciating it more than recent times.
what i also found is that while we let life flow, we must make the most of the moments we are gifted. so often, things like anxiety, fear, or other negative energies/tendencies will take us over and convince us that we do not need to go to that concert, or try a new restaurant (whether that be alone or with someone/other people) simply because it is outside of our normal or challenges our sense of self. below are some pieces based on challenging the newness and remaining open to the little things.
with love & light,

POETRY CIRCLE
i.
the only competition i have
is the person i look at in the mirror
every day, every night
and hope that he can sleep tight
knowing he does his best
every moment he possibly can
-
ii.
i have so much more
i am worth so much more
than what i am describe to be
than who i am made out to be
from someone else’s view
from the colors they paint me
soon, you will see all of me
prose’s pond
no matter where i am
all i need to know
is that there is only
the here, and the now
there is no more yesterday
or guarantee of tomorrow
what i can do is only in today
may my heart at at bay
so it may see light on another day
memory lane
this moment / photo is from a recent dinner i had with a dear friend this week; it is moments and evenings like this where i really smile at life. good food, good memories, good people. i felt like i was transported to tokyo at this lovely restaurant; small, dark lighting, new foods and adventure to be had at our little corner of the bar table. needless to say, i will be coming back to this DELICIOUS spot. what i learned in my hour of being here is to stay curious, work hard, and be open to the possibilities; no matter how big or small they appear to be, the lesson can travel deeper no matter the size of the moment.
music, music, music
